At Prospect 13, improving future outlooks is at the forefront of our mission. And thanks to our active participation in the Career Ready initiative, we are achieving this goal by nurturing and inspiring the next generation of marketing professionals.
This summer, we are pleased to welcome Bijoux, a bright and enthusiastic student from Cults Academy, who joins our dynamic team for a one-month internship.
Bijoux comes on board as part of the Career Ready programme, an initiative designed to connect young talent with real-world workplace opportunities. With a keen interest in design and creative pursuits, Bijoux is poised to gain invaluable experience and insights into the fast-paced world of marketing and communications. During the internship, Bijoux will be involved in a variety of design tasks that will expand their skill set and provide practical experience. They will work on real client projects, apply brand guidelines, and follow best design practices, while having the opportunity to explore different aspects of graphic design, from creating compelling visuals for marketing campaigns to designing innovative website elements.
Bijoux will also have the chance to expand their network and gain insights from experienced industry experts. This interaction will improve their technical skills while providing a broader perspective on the creative industry.
At the heart of Bijoux’s Career Ready experience is her mentor, Louise Smyth, our recently promoted Operations Manager. Louise, who has a robust background in both digital and traditional marketing, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her mentorship role. She is guiding Bijoux through a tailored, hands-on learning journey, helping hone design skills and understanding the intricacies of working in our busy marketing powerhouse.
Louise is following the legacy of our Managing Director Cerri McDonald, who took an active role in the Career Ready programme last year. By investing in the development of future marketing talent, we are not only supporting our community but also contributing to the growth and innovation of the industry.
In addition to our involvement in the Career Ready programme, Prospect 13 is also deeply committed to various youth development initiatives. Cerri actively collaborates with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) and participates in the Young Person’s Guarantee, engaging in career fairs and mock interviews.
We are excited to see the impact of Bijoux’s internship and the broader influence of the Career Ready programme. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are inspired to continuously push boundaries to be brave, be bold and be better as we stay committed to forging a future where youth thrives.
