Aberdeen Marketing Agency Raises Over £3,000 to Gift Pyjamas to Local Children this Christmas

PJ13 Complete

Children from an Aberdeen primary school received a festive surprise this week thanks to the success of a fund-raising campaign led by local marketing agency Prospect 13.

The charity festive campaign, aptly named PJ13, raised over £3,000 in donations to gift 280 pairs of cosy pyjamas to pupils from nursery to primary 7 at Hanover Street School.

Our team joined forces with Santa yesterday (Wednesday, December 18th) to deliver the specially wrapped pyjamas. Donning our own festive PJ’s, our team helped load up the “sleigh” before surprising the children with the very special delivery of winter jammies.

The fund-raising drive saw our clients and partners rally together to bring a touch of holiday cheer to the Hanover Street children this festive season. As well as the pyjamas, we were also delighted to gift the school with £730 in donations, made possible by the overwhelming generosity of supporters.

Our CEO and Founder Cerri McDonald, said “We have been blown away by all the support the campaign received. PJ13 has been a fantastic team effort demonstrating the power of relationships and shared vision which are at the core of everything we do at Prospect 13.

“We’d like to send a huge thank you to all our clients, partners, friends, family and associates for their generous donations and pyjama drop-offs. It really means the world to us, and to the deserving children at Hanover Street School. Seeing their smiling faces was truly heart warming, especially at Christmas time when a little extra magic can make such a big difference.”

Hanover St School Head Teacher Allan Markey, commented, “On behalf of Hanover St we are very grateful and overwhelmed by this kind gesture from the team at Prospect 13. Ensuring every child in our school felt included, regardless of whether they celebrate Christmas or not, has been truly appreciated. Their happy faces say it all.”

Our ties with Hanover St School have strengthened through its collaboration with Aberdeen-based charity, Lifestars, which works closely with the school. Founded by Neve McPherson, Lifestars empowers children with additional needs by offering inclusive, active learning opportunities both in and out of school, to build essential life and social skills. We have developed close links with Hanover Street by facilitating and delivering hands-on Friday life skills sessions and through involvement in careers fairs throughout the year.

Join us in spreading more holiday cheer! While PJ13 has wrapped up, the spirit of giving continues.
