Meet Salina Ghale!
Team P13 is thrilled to welcome Salina as the newest member of our team. As part of the Career Ready Programme, she will be working in our office for the next four weeks. This exciting opportunity enables us to share our knowledge, expertise, and passion for our work, while providing Salina with invaluable hands-on experience in a professional setting. To get to know Salina better, we asked her a few questions…
Tell us a bit about yourself?
I am a 6th year pupil from St Machar Academy. As part of my journey with the Career Ready Programme, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Cerri and the team at Prospect 13 for the next 4 weeks. Originally, I was born in Nepal but my family moved to Aberdeen when I was only 5 years old.
French pastries are the way to my heart and my favourite comfort show is Avatar the Last Airbender.
What are you most excited about joining Prospect 13?
I’m really excited to experience a new business environment and work behind the scenes of a marketing agency. Working with Cerri and her team will provide me with valuable mentorship and guidance. I’m looking forward to gaining practical advice and understanding the expectations and challenges of the professional world.
Building valuable relationships and expanding my network are other aspects of my internship that I think I will find very useful. The opportunity to attend meetings alongside the team and shadow to learn how the work is planned, from start to finish, will allow me to gain a better understanding of life in a marketing agency.
What do you do outside of school and work?
I frequently go to the gym with my friend and occasionally go out for dinner. But to be honest, I’m definitely a homebody! I love staying at home, taking naps, reading books, and binge-watching random shows. A cozy life is more my vibe.
What would you like to achieve in the next year?
Next year I would hope to be studying International Business at university and embrace the challenges of living independently.
I also enjoy travelling and I’m eager to tick off some destinations from my bucket list. For instance, Switzerland or Italy! Both countries are stunning – lovely lakes, beautiful nature and amazing food.
Tell us something we might not know about you?
I love watching documentaries. When I was younger, I had an obsession with air crash investigations, and anything related to space and the universe. I love learning through good docs and also find them very comforting.
