Here at Prospect 13, we pride ourselves in being a team that is passionate and proud of everything we do.
That’s why we think it’s about time you got to know the people who are at the heart of it all with a ‘meet the team series’
To kick things off, we are starting with Lisa Simpson, our Creative Whizz…
Tell us a bit about you?
I moved to Aberdeen when I was 6 with older and younger brothers. I have been with my husband Scott for 18 years and married for 13 – we have two children – Cole age 11 and Molly age 7. I have been a Graphic Designer since I was 21, following a course at Aberdeen College and have worked in the energy sector for the majority of my working life. As well as design, I have a passion for photography which started after I had my son.
What brought you to Prospect 13?
I worked with Cerri before she established Prospect 13, and I was there when the company was ‘born’ haha! I supported Cerri with the brand identity, and before I knew it I had started up my own business with Prospect 13 as my very first client.
How would you describe your role?
I work on all of the visual content for Prospect 13’s growing client base. I do everything from designing templates for social media, marketing materials including case studies and product sheets, to brochures, exhibition stands and brand guidelines. I also film, build websites, and create videos and animations.
What’s your favourite memory with Prospect 13?
There are quite a few to be fair! The launch of Prospect 13 and the first birthday party are probably my favourites.
Tell us a personal success story you have had with Prospect 13?
There have been a lot of firsts for me with Prospect 13, and with each one of them I am grateful for the opportunity to grow. We recently produced an animated LED advert for pitch side at Pittodrie. We then went to a match to see it in person, and I missed the first goal trying to spot the advert and get it on film!!
What is something the team may not know about you?
I have a black belt in martial arts… Watch out!
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I like being out in the fresh air, going for walks, taking photos of my children, keeping fit and travelling.
What are your future goals with Prospect 13?
To continue supporting the team and producing high quality design, video and websites for their clients. Hopefully I will get to work on some larger scale projects and possibly support the introduction of a junior designer to the team too.
