A Bit About Cara
Hiya! I’m Cara, and I’m excited to be joining the Prospect 13 team. I recently moved back to Aberdeen after spending a year in Dundee, where I was honing my craft post-graduation. I graduated from Gray’s School of Art at RGU with a degree in Communication Design.
What Sparked Your Passion for Graphic Design?
I’ve always known that I wanted to work in the creative industries, although it took some time to figure out exactly what that would look like. My journey through the Communication Design course at Gray’s School of Art really opened up the world of graphic design to me. I loved the way it allowed me to visually communicate ideas and messages, and that’s when I knew graphic design was my true passion. The combination of graphic design, illustration, and photography has been incredibly fulfilling and drives my creativity every day.
Since you’ve just moved back to Aberdeen, what’s one local spot you’re excited to revisit?
Growing up in Peterhead and studying in Aberdeen has made me miss being close to the sea. I now have a four-month-old puppy so I am looking forward to taking him onto the beach for the first time!

Any Hidden Talents or Hobbies?
I’m a huge Disney enthusiast and love keeping up with all the latest innovations and updates from them. I could talk about Disney all day if you let me! Aside from that, I enjoy going on long walks and indulging in creative projects in my spare time.
A Book, Movie, or TV Show You Could Watch Over and Over Again?
How I Met Your Mother is my go-to show. No matter how many times I watch it, it never fails to make me laugh!
Your Go-To Comfort Food or Favourite Recipe?
I’m definitely a foodie, and I love experimenting in the kitchen. One of my favourite things I love to cook is a Coconut Cauliflower Curry Traybake but anything with carbs is right up my street!
