It’s a case of lucky number 13 for Scotland’s first virtual marketing support consultancy as it celebrates its first anniversary.
Prospect 13 was established by local woman Cerri McDonald who, after being made redundant from the oil and gas sector, sought a fresh challenge and decided to take the plunge and set up her own business. It supports others to better manage sales and marketing activities as well as raise their profile through effective stakeholder engagement.
Exponential growth soon led to Prospect 13 recruiting staff and opening its current headquarters in Aberdeen Innovation Park’s James Gregory Centre in May this year. A growing client base of 15 subscription-based contracts and the company’s continuing fresh approach to outsourced marketing support are likely to lead to the Prospect 13 headcount growing to four by the end of the year.
From their Bridge of Don base, Cerri and her team represent clients from a range of sectors including oil and gas, education, food and drink, technology, IT, professional services, travel management and media. The company is also involved in events, such as the first-ever Granite Growth Summit which took place at International School Aberdeen (ISA) earlier this year and showcased local businesses and their successful growth stories.
Commenting on her first year in business, Cerri McDonald said: “Any business will experience challenges throughout its journey but particularly during its first year. It has certainly been something of a rollercoaster ride but one which continues to be exhilarating, inspiring and exciting.
