Meet Sarah!

woman with dark hair pulled back

She has been part of the team for over a year now, so we thought it was time to get to know her properly. Sarah is part of our digital team and working closely with clients to maximise their social media potential and enhance web performance.

Tell us a bit about you?

I am a fourth student at Robert Gordon University studying my BA in Digital Marketing. Although I am originally from just outside of Edinburgh, I have been living in Aberdeen for 5 and a half years so I would say I am a bit of a local now. I’ve worn a few different hats over the last year at P13, student, intern, enthusiast and most importantly, Christmas party planner.

What’s your favourite thing about working in marketing?

My absolute favourite thing about working in marketing is seeing a project come together. From the initial client meeting to our team brainstorming then piece by piece the message and design come together to create the campaign. It is so gratifying being able to see the initial vision come to life showcasing the incredible work of passionate, local businesses and tell their stories.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

Most of my time outside of work – and university – is spent with friends! Whether that be at the gym, at the pub, travelling or my personal favourite pass time, watching any of the Real Housewives franchises. Living a couple hours away from family can be challenging, so I do try to head home for the weekend as often as possible.

What is something the team might not know about you?

We have a pretty open book policy in the office so I can’t imagine there is much the team don’t know about me!

A couple of fun facts are that in 2013 I was the youngest person to complete the Edinburgh MoonWalk to raise funds for breast cancer research, I have also been capped for the Scotland National volleyball team at junior level and my number one karaoke song is Tears Dry on Their Own by Amy Winehouse.

What are your future goals with Prospect 13?

If you were to ask me this question a year ago, I could not have imagined achieving what I have at Prospect 13. Therefore, my primary goal is simply to continue this journey of growth in my role and any future roles, learning as much as I can along the way!

Favourite Prospect 13 memory?

Pinpointing just one favourite memory as part of team P13 is difficult as we have had so much fun over the last year! A real highlight for me was our Christmas night out – we all had an incredibly busy 2022 so it was amazing to get the whole team together to blow off some steam and enjoy ourselves! Any opportunity to spend time as a team outside the office, getting to know each other and strengthening that team bond is so important.
