The Prospect 13 team are delighted to welcome the newest member of our team, Karthik Sunil! As a recent graduate form Grey’s School of Art, he is equipped with all the skills to rock as our new Design Protégé.
To get to know him a bit better, we asked him some questions…
Tell us a bit about yourself…
Hey I’m Karthik! Recently graduated from the communication design course at Gray’s School of Art with a first-class honours degree, I’m obsessed with the creative arts with a keen interest in graphics, motion & illustration. I’m from India originally & lived in Scotland most my life. I’m looking forward to working with this wonderful team at prospect 13!
How did your passion in graphic design develop?
From a young age, I always loved capturing & editing photographs. My journey began at 13 when I first discovered Photoshop on my dad’s laptop and that opened my eyes to the expansive world of graphic design. From that point onwards, I’ve continued to experiment with Adobe tools and learn more about producing creative content.
What is your proudest achievement?
Graduating from art school was a huge achievement for me. After 5 years of college & university I’ve gained so much knowledge. Met so many talented individuals in the local community & industry over the years. It’s been an enjoyable & fulfilling experience too!
Can you tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
Art is in my name. Kart started off as a nickname years ago. I ended up using it as a brand name for my creative freelance work. I can also play the drums!
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
When I’m away from my screen, I love traveling and exploring nature in my spare time. I’m obsessed with reviewing places on google maps. Enjoy keeping myself active by cycling & jogging too. I like binging shows & documentaries, also love learning about the outer space, which you will notice in my creative projects.
