We look forward to seeing the fresh creative perspectives Annie brings to the table…but for now, we have asked her a few questions to get to know her a little better…

  1. Who is Annie? Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I’m a local quine from Fraserburgh, currently in my third year studying digital marketing at RGU and I’m really excited to learn and gain real-life experience in the marketing industry. Throughout school I was always interested in the marketing side of a business, and with a bit of research I was led to the digital marketing course, which was a no brainer with how much it’s evolving.

On a personal level, I love being sociable and having fun – once I feel comfortable and start talking… it’s hard to get me to stop! I’m also a little ‘homebird’ I’ve always stayed at home and could never see myself moving away, I love being near my friends and family too much to leave!

  • Why did you apply to Prospect 13 for your placement?

Ever since discovering Prospect 13 online, I’ve always had them in mind and taken an interest in what they get up to. I loved the concept of the agency, their approach, and the fact they offer so many in-house marketing services, working with diverse clients and sectors.  I was keen to get the opportunity to be involved in as much as possible so it seemed like a good fit.

I have also followed Sarah Kelly’s  journey at Prospect 13 as she started with the team on placement this time last year.  It was great to see a business keen to support young graduates and early career development.

Plus, I love all the posts about Prospect 13’s Pawsitivity Ambassador, ‘Ness the Sausage Dog’ who I’m dying to meet later this week!

  • What do you most enjoy about Digital Marketing?

I thoroughly enjoy the social media aspect as I like to keep up to date on social media myself especially TikTok and Instagram. I also enjoy the content creation process – coming up with creative ideas and brainstorming strategies to create effective content is rewarding.  I love to see it all come together and the results generated.

  • What are you most excited to learn during your time at Prospect 13?

Everything! I’m excited to dive into all the different aspects of digital marketing.  I can’t wait to get involved in the planning process behind campaigns and projects and see how everything pieces together. I’m also interested to learn more about SEO and how using the right words helps enhance businesses visibility online.

  • What do you like to do outside of work and university?

When I’m not working, I enjoy travelling and visiting new places whether this be in Scotland or abroad.  I have a long list of places yet to tick off!

I am a huge foodie and love trying new foods – however my favourites have got to be seafood and pasta – I could live off pasta! I’ve also just started to pick up reading again and I’m book daft.  I especially enjoy the ‘lovey-dovey’ romance novels.

  • What is a fun fact about you?

From a young age I have been involved in Fraserburgh’s local drama group (FJAS) where I participated in multiple local pantomimes and summer shows in Fraserburgh, event playing lead roles a few times.
